What is a KMU?

KMU (Kleine und Mittlere Unternehmen) is the German/Austrian term for SME (Small and Medium Enterprise). In Austria, 99.6% of all companies are KMUs. They employ fewer than 250 people and have annual turnover not exceeding €50 million.
